Appointed to the CPO Board in July 2024 is prominent Cape Town attorney Lucien Lewin. Lewin, who is currently a partner at Bowmans; Cape Town, was also a trombonist in the CPO from 2001 to 2005 and taught brass at several schools before entering UCT studying law. He holds both a B Mus and a BA LLB from the University of Cape Town, as well as a GBS diploma, which makes him a perfect board member. After graduating with his law degree, he established his own legal practise Lewin Attorneys which merged with Dingley Marshill Lewin and also worked for major companies like ENS. Lewin was placed on the Dean’s Merit Award List during both his legal and music studies, and won several music awards during his studies. He is also holds national colours as a Black Belt in Karate.
