Cape Town attorney and former Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra trombonist Lucien Lewin joined the board of the CPO in June 2024. Lucien was from 2000 to 2005 a trombonist in the CPO, and taught brass instruments at several schooks, having graduated with a B Mus from UCT’s SA College of Music. He then returned to UCT and graduated a second time with a BA LLB, making the Dean’s list during both periods of study. He has subsequently earned a diploma in finance from the UCT Graduate School of Business. After commencing his law career at ENSAfrica, he established his own law firm, Lewin Attorneys, which he built up over a number of years. Lucien is currently a partner at leading commercial law firm, Bowmans, having joined them in February 2023 in their Litigation Practice Group.
