Pieter Schoeman, the leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008, made his solo debut at the age of 10 with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra, before going to America to study. He has performed worldwide as a soloist (including with the LPO), recitalist and chamber musician .
Chad Hendricks, the winner of the 3rd Len van Zyl Conductor’s Competition, grew up in the vast music programme of the New Apostolic Church. He is currently the resident conductor of the New Apostolic Church Cape Town Orchestra and the Cape Town Ghoema orchestra He graduated with a B Mus from UCT.
